€55,000 BOND TO RELEASE SPANISH TRAWLER AT GALWAY PORT

It will cost €55,000 to release a detained spanish fishing vessel accused of alleged illegal fishing from Galway port.

Captain of the "Novo Alborado" – Manuel Cousillas – was told by Judge Mary Fahy that he was free to come and go on a surety of €100.

He was further told, however, that his ship was going nowhere unless a bond of €55,000 was paid.
