50 ATHENRY RESIDENTS PROTEST AGAINST ROAD DAMAGE

Up to 50 angry residents formed a blockade at Ennis Bridge in Athenry for an hour this morning in protest at the worsening condition of local roads.

The protest began at 10 o’clock in a bid to highlight the local roads being damaged by heavy trucks working on the new N6 Galway to Dublin road.

The protestors say this is just the start of the fight.
