5 MILLION LOTTO TICKET SOLD IN GALWAY

THE latest Lotto millionaire bought the 4 euro quick pick ticket, now worth over 5 million, at the Happy Days shop in the Galway Shopping Centre, Headford Road.

Mary Daly, who operates the newsagents, confectionery and stationery shop with her husband Stephen, says the winning ticket was purchased sometime on Saturday.

But as yet they have no idea who the lucky winner of the weekend Lotto is.

"It could be some little old lady from nearby Bohermore, or it could be some stranger passing through who might have walked in and bought the ticket. Irrespective of who it is we are delighted," says Mary.

The numbers drawn were 7, 12, 24, 36, 43 and 45. The bonus number was 34.
