46 ALCOHOL CHECKPOINTS CARRIED OUT IN BALLINASLOE AREA

46 mandatory alcohol checkpoints have been carried out so far this year in the Ballinasloe area.

The figures were provided at a meeting of the Joint Policing Committee where recent rates of crime were discussed.

The provisional figures show that crime is generally down on the same period last year in the Ballinasloe area.
