45 people arrested for drink driving in County Galway
Galway Bay fm newsroom – 45 people were arrested in County Galway last month for drink driving.
That’s according to figures from An Garda Siochána, following the launch of a campaign to warn motorists of the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence.
The Western region ‘Driving While Intoxicated’ campaign will see Gardaí out in force day and night in an effort to enforce drink driving legislation.
Regional Traffic Superintendent for the Western Region, Pat Murray, says drink-driving is one of the main causes of road fatalities.
