€400,000 worth of cannabis seized in Tuam raid

Gardai made a “significant” arrest this evening, when they seized around €400,000 worth of cannabis in a raid at a house in Tuam.

Officers from the National Drugs Unit and local Gardai raided the house at around 5pm and discovered around 20kg of cannabis herb, with an estimated street value of €400,000.

Gardai described the arrest of a 49 year-old man at the scene as “significant”. Another man in his early 40s was also arrested.
