A 40 year old man died in a road collision in Carraroe early today [sun aug 3]

The pedestrian was struck by a car on Main Street in the village just before 2 o’clock this morning

A man in his early 30s was arrested at the scene, and is being questioned by Salthill Gardai

The man who died has not yet been named, but it’s understood he’s not from the Carraroe area
