4 YEAR SENTENCE FOR CALVIN KLEIN BOXERS ROBBERY

A Ballinasloe man has been given a four-year prison sentence this week for shoplifting and carrying a knife while unlawfully at large from prison.

30 year old Alan Stephens of 106 Hymany Park pleaded guilty before Galway Circuit Criminal Court to stealing three pairs of Calvin Klein underpants priced €90 from Debenham’s, Eyre Street on April 24th.

Stephens was six weeks away from finishing an eight-year sentence imposed on him in 2003 for the manslaughter of a man in 1997 in his local arcade.
