36 NEW SOCIAL AND VOLUNTARY HOUSES FOR GALWAY

36 new social and voluntary housing units are to be provided for Galway City and County.

Minister for Housing and Planning Jan O’Sullivan has given the greenlight to local authorities for the provision of the houses at a cost of almost 4 million euro.

Under the Capital Assistance Scheme, a total of 22 units have been secured.

While under the Local Authority Social Housing programme, 14 units have been granted.

The Galway units will come on stream between now and 2014.
