300 SIPTU MEMBERS AT GALWAY COUNTY COUNCIL VOTE FOR STRIKE ACTION

Over three hundred SIPTU members with Galway county council have voted in favour of industrial action over cutbacks.

A massive cutback of 9 million euro was announced by county manager Martina Maloney at last evening’s county council meeting.

Notice has also been given to 28 outdoor staff.

The SIPTU members voted in favour of strike action at a meeting in Galway Technical Institute last night.
