3 WORKPLACE DEATHS IN GALWAY LAST YEAR

There were 3 workplace deaths in Galway last year, representing 5 and a half percent of the total number of workplace deaths in the country.

Just over three weeks ago, on December 12th, a 53 year old Irish bricklayer died while building a house in Galway.

In May last year, a 26 year old Polish man, who was a supervisor at a picking station, was killed.

He died after becoming pinned between a vehicle tractor unit and a trailer.

The third Galway workplace death happened on August 25th last year when a 49 year old Irish truckdriver died.

He was found trapped between a car and driver door which was pinned by the hydraulic ram of the recovery vehicle on which the car had been loaded.
