27 PERCENT RISE IN GALWAY INSOLVENCIES

56 Galway companies have been declared insolvent in the first six months of this year.

The figure is 27 percent up on the same period last year, when 44 firms went bust.

The total number of insolvencies in Galway from January to June this year represents just over five percent of the national figure.

A total of 1 thousand and 29 firms went bust around the country for the same period.
