23 MILLION INCREASE TO GALWAY HOSPITAL GROUP BUDGET

The Galway Roscommon Hospital Group has received an increase of 23 million euro in funding for 2013 from the National HSE budget.

This represents a 7 percent increase on last year’s allocation.

While many hospital groups have received increases, six facilities have had cuts to their budget including St. James’s Hospital in Dublin.

City Cllr Padraig Conneely, who is also Chairperson of the HSE West Regional Health Forum says serious progress has been made in many areas in 2012 and this has been rewarded
