200 NEW JOBS FOR MERVUE

American online retail company CSN stores is to set up its European headquarters in Mervue, creating 200 jobs.

The privately owned Boston company plans to open in January in Mervue Business Park in 3,100 square feet offices.

Minister Éamon Ó Cuív says the 200 jobs will be created over the next 3 years in Multilingual Customer Service, IT, Localisation, Finance, HR and Sales & Marketing functions.

CSN Stores is ranked among the Top 3 home goods online retailers in the U.S.

The company has more than 200 online niche shops offering products ranging from barstools and bedroom sets to grills, greenhouses and gaming equipment in multiple price bands.

Area Manager for IDA int the West and Midlands, Kevin McCarthy, told Galway Bay Fm News that Galway faced tough competition from Europe to secure the investment.
