20 METRE MAST TO REMAIN IN SALTHILL

A 20 metre high ESB telecommunications mast is to remain in Salthill.

Galway city council has given the ESB permission to retain the mast at its Salthill substation on the junction of Seamus Quirke Rd and Rahoon Rd

The free-standing mast, in the shape of the ‘Five Lamps’ design, carries antennae and communication dishes.

It was previously granted temporary planning permission in 2002 but has now been issued with full planning permission
