2 MILLION EURO FOR CITY ROADS

Almost 2 million euro has been allocated to Galway City for road improvements around the city.

The funding of 1.8 million euro is due to be announced by the Department of Transport, Sport and Tourism.

Councillor Niall McNelis says just under 450 thousand euro has been sanctioned for improvements at Ballymoneen Road junction onto the Barna Road, Fr. Griffin Road and Wolfe Tone Bridge.

He says safety improvement work for Maunsells Road and Dr. Mannix Road have also received funding.
