1.7 MILLION EURO REVAMP FOR GALWAY HOTEL

GALWAY’S Radison Blu Hotel is set for a 1.5 million Euro refurbishment.

The work will see its 272 bedrooms, public areas and restaurant extensively revamped.

Sixty rooms have been refurbished so far, improvements have been made to the spa while the remaining rooms, as well as the bar and restaurant, will be overhauled by the end of the year.

According to a report in “The Sunday Business Post” newspaper occupancy levels rose at the Galway city hotel by 7 per cent last year.

70 per cent of customers were Irish with the remaining 30 per cent coming for the UK, Germany, the US and France.
