A total of 16 properties in Galway – with combined reserve prices in excess of €2 million – are set to go under the hammer as part of a nationwide auction taking place at the end of this month.

The lots in the city and county are part of a catalogue of more than 200 residential and investment properties across the country with a combined value in excess of €24m.

Jonathan Fenn, Allsop’s Divisional Director, said there is a strong mix of Galway residential properties included in the auction, which takes place in the RDS in Dublin on Thursday, April 28.

“Following on from three successful auctions in Q1, we have assembled 213 lots for the first of three auctions to take place in Q2. The catalogue provides primarily residential assets but with a significant commercial offering of over 70 lots.

“A number of multi-family lots will undoubtedly draw interest from investors, given the asset management and development opportunities. This will bring much needed accommodation to families under pressure to secure a home,” said Mr Fenn.
