15,000 EMPTY HOUSES IN COUNTY

Just over 15,000 houses are empty in Galway county.

That’s around 20 per cent of its total housing stock, while almost 4,000 houses are vacant in the city.

The last census provided figures for the first time on vacant dwellings in Ireland.
