13 hundred ESB customers in county without power
Galway bay fm newsroom – Up to 13 hundred ESB customers are without power in the county today following a night of high winds.
The area worst affected area is Gort, while homes in Kiltartin, Craughwell and parts of Loughrea are also without electricity.
Homes in Carraroe and Spiddal are also impacted.
Nationally, Seven thousand homes including parts of Clare, Cork, Limerick Kildare and Wicklow are still without power.
The ESB says it’s deploying resources from other parts of the country in a bid to get all homes back on the grid.
Mike Fitzgerald is the Head of Distribution and Customer Services at ESB Networks – he says he hopes most homes will have their power restored by this evening.
