13 arrested in city on Arthurs day

Galway Bay fm newsroom – 13 people were arrested in the city overnight for public order offences.

The arrests took place as thousands took to the streets to celebrate Arthur’s day, the fifth annual celebration of a day devoted to Guinness.

Gardaí say the number of arrests is on a par with the same day last year, and there
were no reports of serious assaults or criminal damage.

Four of the 13 arrested will come before the courts in the coming weeks.
