127 thousand euros to rebuild a house in Galway

The average minimum rebuilding cost for a house in Galway is 127 thousand euro.

That’s according to Society of Chartered Surveyors, which has just published its House Rebuilding Cost Guide.

The cost of 127 thousand euro is to rebuild a standard 3-bedroom semi-detached house in Galway, or 124 euro per square foot.

This compares to a minimum rebuild cost of 167 thousand euro for a house in Dublin.

The Society of Chartered Surveyors is advising homeowners to check the ‘sum insured’ on home insurance premiums, to ensure you’re not overpaying on index-linked premiums.
