124 THOUSAND VEHICLES REGISTERED IN GALWAY

Just under 99 and a half thousand private cars were licensed in Galway last year along with just over 19 thousand goods vehicles.

The Department of Transport figures also show that there are also 4,330 tractors and 1,276 motorcycles licensed in the Galway region.

The most favoured brand of car in Galway was the Toyota with just over 17 thousand licensed units followed by Volkswagon and Ford on just over 12,000 licensed vehicles each.

The most common brand of goods vehicle licensed by the Galway authority was Ford with 2,880 followed closely by Toyota and Volkswagon.
