100 applications for West Northwest hospitals Patient Council

The council will assist management is assessing the current quality of service, review policies and procedures and support communication efforts to the wider public.

The 100 members of the public who have expressed an interest have now been contacted and supplied with a copy of the stragetic plan for public and patient involvement.

Management will go through a selection process this month to identify the successful candidates.

This will include an interview with Colette Cowan, the Chief Director of Nursing and Midwifery, who is also a member of the group Board.

Up to 10 volunteers are to be selected for the council.

They will meet every two months to plan and agree on improvements.
