10 PERCENT POPULATION GROWTH IN COUNTY GALWAY

The population of both Galway city and county has increased during the last five years.

That’s according to the latest results from the 2011 census, which show a 10 percent increase in the county and a 4 percent increase in the city since 2006.

In total, there are currently just over a quarter of a million people living in Galway.
